電冰箱及壓縮機使用天然冷媒 R600a是著眼於緩和全球溫室效應問題，先進國家已開始採用天然冷媒作為冷凍空調產品之用，國內廠商亦陸續開始引進R600a電冰箱及壓縮機產品，但 R600a冷媒具有易爆特性，凸顯安全性的重要。因此，該局參照國際標準IEC 335-2-24、IEC 335-2-34及IEC 60079-15建置使用R600a冷媒之電冰箱及壓縮機安全性能檢測能量，確保國人在使用上安全無虞。在國際間澳洲已列管65kW（冷氣能力）空氣調節機，日本亦將空氣調節機之冷氣能力提高至65kW，我國將於民國100年起列管71 kW以下空氣調節機。為配合能源局自101年實施新的能源基準，該局亦依「CNS3615無風管空氣調節機」國家標準規劃71kW級容量冷凍空調設備檢測能量，落實國家能源政策。(資料來源：經濟部)
